Tottenham might now get the chance to do a double over Chelsea before the transfer window closes after Manchester United have = switched their attention to signing Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon.
Erik ten Hag's side have struggled in the injury department to start the season after Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw both suffered long-term injuries which has left them without a traditional left-back.
The Red Devils were then left with just a few days to find themselves a replacement, and were said to be heavily linked with a move for Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella.
After a successful season with Brighton two years ago, Cucurella joined Chelsea for £60m ($75m) but massively struggled under former Seagulls boss Graham Potter and received backlash from supporters.
Now, new boss Mauricio Pochettino seems keen on Ben Chilwell after naming him vice-captain having played all-but 36 minutes over Chelsea's three league games so far this season.
Despite that, it now appears as though United are looking to Spurs star Reguilon instead.

The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs in recent years, and is yet to feature under Ange Postecoglou this season. It's believed the star has been allowed to travel up to Man United's training ground in Carrington in order to complete his medical.
Reguilon impressed supporters and the media alike in his debut season where he notched six assists over 36 appearances but was sent out on loan to Atletico Madrid last season where he suffered two long-term injuries.
The news comes as Spurs continue to go after Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, even after the 23-year-old captained the Blues to a Carabao Cup win over AFC Wimbledon last night.
It means that Postecoglou's side could get a double win over the Blues before the window slams shut tomorrow night, freeing up some cash in order to spend on bolstering their already-impressive midfield ranks.
