Manchester United will face Bayern Munich and Harry Kane in the Champions League after they were paired in the same group during the draw in Monaco.
United considered making a move for Kane during the summer transfer window before opting to sign Rasmus Hojlund for £72million from Atalanta instead. Kane left Tottenham to join Bayern for £100million and has scored three times in his first two Bundesliga games.
The two European giants last met in the Champions League in 2013/14, when David Moyes' side were beaten 3-1 in Munich after a 1-1 draw in Manchester in the quarter-finals.

FC Copenhagen are the third team in Group A, with Hojlund giving the chance to face the club where he started his career. The Danish champions held Manchester City to a goalless draw at the Parken Stadium in last season's group stage.

Manchester United have switched their attention to Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon amid doubts over a loan deal for Marc Cucurella.
Chelsea left-back Cucurella, who started in their 2-1 League Cup second-round win over AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday night, is United's preferred choice but United want the option to terminate a loan in the January transfer window.
Because Cucurella has already played for Chelsea this season, he cannot be transferred to a third club in a season.
The Manchester Evening News revealed Reguilon, 26, was on United's left-back shortlist that they compiled last week, although there was concern over his salary demands.
